Cathodic Protection Aluminum Anode
Anodes with high current output capacity.
Aluminium alloyed sacrificial anodes with high efficiency, ideal for seawater conditions. Available in numerous shapes and sizes, with various mounting options, suitable for all submerged structures.
Customisation
Anodes can be customised to fit almost any requirement.
The mean current capacity of the sacrificial anode material after 12 months free running testing is 2 651 Ah/kg. The mean closed circuit potential is -1 100 mV versus Ag/AgCl seawater.
The sacrificial anode cathodic protection method is to connect two metals with different activities in the same electrolyte. The metal with strong activity loses electrons and is corroded, and the metal with poor activity is protected by electrons.
In this process, the active metal is corroded, so it is called sacrificial anode cathodic protection. Generally, aluminum alloy sacrificial anode and zinc alloy sacrificial anode are used in seawater; the cathodic protection method is impressed current cathodic protection, which is arranged through the anode In the seawater environment, the current flows from the seawater medium to the protected structure, and returns from the confluence point to the power equipment. Since the current is forced to flow to the protected structure, it is also called forced current cathodic protection.
